| 04.16.08 Been about a month since an update so here goes...
First off, for those of you that showed up to the Arclight SXSW Showcase we would like to apologize. We were booked at a venue that was not ready for what was handed to them. Due to several “noise” complaints we were shut down. There were some write ups about the event(s).

Again sorry, but it was out of our hands.
In better news we are very excited about our upcoming releases for 2008.
We will be teaming up with local act the LIONS for a very limited run of their second album No Generation. This will be limited to 250 copies.
Pre-orders will begin this month with this being ready for release in July. Don’t hesitate as we expect these to go pretty fast. Check the band out on tour as well. Touring begins this Friday April 18th through May 31st.
Info on times & place can be found on Myspace & here
The Fall will see the debut Arclight release from Lubbock, TX’s own Beaumonts . The CD is titled “Lets Get Drunk, And Other Country Songs, and if you are fans of David Allan Coe, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Jon Wayne then this is right up your alley. We are happy to have them join the Arclight family and I’m sure you will be too! Info on the band can be found at Myspace
The new SuperHeavyGoatAss album Nemesis is mastered and ready to be shipped off to the plant. Their follow up to 60,000 Years has surpassed all expectations. The album is solid from start to finish and fans of the band will be very satisfied with their second Arclight helping. Tentative release is scheduled for Fall with touring to follow.
And finally Arclight has teamed up with former dead horse singer Michael Haaga to re-release his debut titled theplusandminusshow. Described as "...new dimensions in heavy mellow..." this is not what you would expect from former frontman of dead horse, Texas' legendary underground avanté thrash outfit, however, it is a true masterwork of music written, produced and performed by Haaga. The release will include a DVD of the video shot for the song If And When.
Recorded over a period of two years and including nearly twenty performers, theplusandminusshow is a beautiful montage of emotions captured on tape. Look for a Fall release.
Speaking of dead horse, Mike has informed us that an anthology DVD is in the works and he would like to encourage all of you good folks/friends, & fans to share your personal dead horse show images, videos, flyers, and/or other related material, so they may be archived and possibly used as a contribution to this DVD. FOR INFORMATION ON WHERE TO SEND MATERIALS CONTACT michaelhaaga@earthlink.net
Cheers!

Been a while since we've updated the news. Few things happening. First off, Amplified Heat kicks off their tour today in support of the new CD How Do You Like The Sound Of That. You can find tour dates in the Tours section.
Go check em out and buy em a beer and while you're at it pick up the new CD as well.
Also a couple of additions to the store. You can pre-order the Magnet School debut before it's officially released on Nov. 6th. The Tia Carrera 7" with them covering Lungfish's You Are The War is now available on it's own. We've posted a
clip of the 12 minute song. Enjoy.
Other than that we're working on the new SuperHeavyGoatAss CD which should be released in Early 2008. It's pretty slamming and won't disappoint!

Arclight Staff%fort to date by the band. The album will hit stores on October 2nd and the band will be celebrating their release with an in-store at Waterloo Records in Austin as well as a tour with their pals the Lions. Tour dates will be posted in the tour section on the site once they are confirmed.
We’re proud to announce local Austin act *Magnet School* have been added to the Arclight roster and their debut release, */Tonight We Drink...Tomorrow We Battle The Evil At Hand/*, will be available on November 6th. Tracks from the upcoming album can be found at http://www.myspace.com/themagnetschool. The band has been described as “layers of hooks and chorus guitars interrupt jagged beat and rhythm until it explodes beautifully!” We’re happy to have them on board and look forward to what they’ve got planned for the horizon.
Don’t forget to look for *Phonograph *at the *Newport Folk Festival on August 4th*. The band is still out promoting their self titled debut, which is still getting great reviews nationally. Look for */In Your Mind/* to hit your local radio station next month as well!
We’ve updated some of the Arclight shirts available and have opened a gear section to the store. We’ve got plenty for the gals as well as the guys. We’ve reprinted the original *Book of Knots* shirts to celebrate the re-release of their debut album as well as their debut (and only) live show which recently took place in NYC. We’ve also got the original Arclight plane shirt available again as well. Take a look around, I’m sure you’re bound to find something you like.
